Then the gathers generated by the smocks and those supported by the cut-out back give the fullness and ease needed for little girls' movements, from the most well-behaved to the most rambunctious. The round neckline is topped by a ruffled band, the same that runs the length of the button placket and conceals it. The long sleeves are tightened at the wrists with an elastic band for a ruffled effect. A blouse that loves to show off, but doesn't wait to go out.
